  19.  OVERVIEW
  20.  FastFolder by BB is a background program which allows quick access to
  21.  any of twelve pre-selected folders from the system tray.  It provides
  22.  an easy way to navigate directories without requiring My Computer.
  23.  
  24.  The code in this program is designed to use minimum system resources.
  25.  It is written in  VB6, with all of the files loaded to one directory.
  26.  It creates a shortcut in the start menu\programs\startup directory to
  27.  make an automatic launch each time the program is started but removes
  28.  it each time it is selected closed.  This lets the program 'remember'
  29.  its last state and resume on the next system boot-up.

  31.  Separate executable files handle larger external routines to preserve
  32.  system memory. To increase the number of folders, simple run multiple
  33.  instances and change the tray icon for each one.  The icon is changed
  34.  from the CONFIGURATION form.

  36.  NO SECRET FILES
  37.  This program is a FREE full working version.   It creates NO registry
  38.  keys nor makes any secret files. FastFolder by BB contains no Spyware
  39.  or AdWare, and is totally non-intrusive.

  41.  LICENSE
  42.  This program is copyright of Bernie Madigan,  Sydney  Australia,  but
  43.  can be freely distributed,  published on any media or uploaded to any
  44.  web site without seeking permission, provided no files are altered or
  45.  deleted.

  47.  Permission is given for the password to be published on sites and any
  48.  magazines that are not written in English.  This will allow all users
  49.  to benefit from this program whether or not they understand this text
  50.  file.

  52.  OPERATION
  53.  Operation is self explanatory. When the program is running an icon is
  54.  visible in the system tray. Right click the icon to reveal the menus.
  55.  
  56.  Select CONFIGURATION to set shortcuts to folders  by first creating a
  57.  "friendly name" in the space provided. Next, double click the desired
  58.  folder in the folder list, then click "Set Path" to the friendly name
  59.  to complete the configuration.   Select a default folder to open when
  60.  the tray icon is left clicked.

  62.  Clicking on any of the selected folders on the menu will open them.

  64.  Left clicking on the icon will open the default folder.

  66.  All information is stored in the file "FastFolder.ini" in the program
  67.  directory. There are no registry entries.  Folders can be selected to
  68.  open in either Normal or Explore mode.

  70.  If a folder happens to be unavailable when selected (for example... a
  71.  removable disk), its menu name will become disabled. To re-enable it,
  72.  select REFRESH when the folder is available.

  74.  AUTOMATIC START
  75.  The program makes a 'startup' link on launching that will cause it to
  76.  start automatically on the next boot-up unless it has been previously
  77.  shut down. Whenever the program is closed down the link is removed so
  78.  that it will not automatically launch next time.

  80.  This also ensures the startup link is deleted on uninstalling it at a
  81.  later date, since the program must be shut down to remove it.

  83.  CHANGE BROWSER
  84.  By default, folders are opened by Explorer.exe. To change the default
  85.  browser, click 'CHANGE BROWSER' on the configuration form for further
  86.  instructions.

  88.  INSTALL/UNINSTALL INFORMATION
  89.  Installation was done by extracting the program files into the folder
  90.  of your choice. There were no run-time libraries installed in the zip
  91.  or changes to the registry. A log of any shortcuts created is kept in
  92.  Instal.log in this folder.

  94.  To uninstall this program just delete its folder and all of the files
  95.  within it, and any shortcuts on the Start Menu or Desktop, or use the
  96.  uninstaller.
